What an accessible website is

An accessible website lets people with disabilities browse it with the same efficiency and enjoyment as other visitors, using the features of their own device and the assistive technologies they rely on, such as a screen reader, a screen magnifier, voice control, or a keyboard instead of a mouse.

Standard and level

The accessibility adjustments on this site were made in accordance with Sign C (internet services) of the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 5773-2013, and with Israeli Standard IS 5568 Part 1 (2023), which is based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. The site has been made accessible to Level AA, subject to the changes and adjustments made in the Israeli standard.

The site is also built to the newer WCAG 2.2, at Level AA.

What we have done

Accessibility is built into the site’s own code and design. It does not depend on any add-on or plug-in.

Navigation and structure

• Every link, button and form field can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, and shows a clear focus outline so you can see where you are.
• A “Skip to main content” link is the first thing on every page.
• Pages use real headings and landmarks (header, main content, footer), so screen-reader users can move between sections quickly.
• The language of each page is declared in the code: English, and Hebrew for the Hebrew part of this page.

Seeing and reading

• Text has a colour contrast of at least 4.5:1 against its background.
• You can enlarge text with your browser’s zoom up to 200% without losing content or functions, and the text-size control in our accessibility menu enlarges all text up to 150%.
• The layout adapts to screens as narrow as 320 pixels, without sideways scrolling.
• Visuals that carry information have a text alternative. Purely decorative visuals, such as the 3D planet and the aurora and nebula backgrounds, are hidden from assistive technologies.

Motion

• Nothing on the site flashes.
• If your device is set to reduce motion, the site follows that setting and animations are off.
• The “Stop animations” switch in our accessibility menu stops every animation and everything that moves on its own. The live agent demo and the moving logo strip on the home page also have their own pause buttons.

Forms

• Every field in the contact form has a visible label, and required fields are marked. If something is missing or wrong, an error message in text appears next to the field and focus moves to the first field that needs fixing.

The accessibility menu

• The round button at the bottom left of every page opens a menu where you can enlarge text, stop animations, switch to high contrast, highlight links and buttons, and use a plain, readable font. Your choices are saved on your device.
• The menu is an optional extra for comfort. The site is designed to be accessible without it.

Using the site with a keyboard and assistive technology

• Tab and Shift+Tab move forwards and backwards between links, buttons and form fields.
• Enter follows a link or presses a button.
• Space presses a button, ticks a checkbox or turns a switch on and off.
• The arrow keys choose an option in a list or a group of options, and scroll the page.
• Esc closes menus and dialogs.
• With a screen reader such as NVDA or JAWS, H moves between headings, and the number keys 1 to 6 move to a heading of that level.

Browsers and screen readers

The site works best in a current version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari.

It is designed to work with the screen readers NVDA and JAWS on Windows, VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, and TalkBack on Android.

Known limitations and partial conformance

• Some decorative visuals, such as the 3D planet on the home page and the animated backgrounds, have no text description. They carry no information: everything they suggest is also said in text.
• Our pages on social networks are hosted on platforms we do not control, so their accessibility depends on those platforms. For these pages we declare partial conformance:

Accessibility of our service

We work with clients remotely, by video call, phone and email. If you need to meet in person, tell us what you need and we will arrange an accessible venue.

If you need information from this site in another format, write to us and we will send it in a format that works for you.

We do not rely on any exemption from the accessibility regulations.

No accessibility arrangement is currently interrupted. If an arrangement stops, or is expected to stop, for more than a week, we will announce it here together with an alternative.

Where our accessibility work stands

Every page of this site was designed and built to the standard above, so there is no separate plan or deadline for completing accessibility work. We review accessibility whenever the site changes and at least once a year.
